                                    Rules and Regulations of Cheshire Riding Club

 

  1. All riders mounted during club events must be wearing a suitable horse riding helmet that is securely fastened and adheres to current standard. Riders must be wearing suitable jodhpurs/breeches and minimum a t-shirt that covers the rider’s shoulders (long sleeves may be required if jumping XC)

 

  1. All members/non-members must be dressed appropriately at all times when attending/participating in club events. The club reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the event if necessary

 

  1. All horses and ponies must be fit and healthy when participating in any club events. The judge and the club reserve the right to stop any horse/pony from participating in any club events if they deem the horse/pony is not fit to do so

 

  1. Members must be a minimum age of 4 years old at the time of registration

 

  1. Body protectors/skull cap helmets are compulsory for any riders that are participating in jumping over solid fences whether in an arena or in open spaces. All body protectors must comply to current standard

 

  1. Any member/non-member under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during club events

 

  1. Any equipment worn on equines or carried by the rider during competitions must comply to affiliated discipline rules

 

  1. Any horse/pony cannot compete in more than 3 ridden rounds at each event, even if ridden by different riders

 

  1. The club reserves the right to stop any members/non-members from participating in any club events if they are seen to treat any equine in a disrespectful manner

 

  1. In any events, the judge’s decision is the final decision and the judge may change their decision at any time before the results are officially announced

 

  1. Any cancellations must be given at least 5 days prior to the event for a full refund/credit. Any cancellations made thereafter and 48hrs prior to the event will be given 50% refund. Any cancellations made after 48hrs will be charged in full. Members may exchange their booking with other members only. Exchanging with non-members will need to be authorised by the club ** This may be different for some events such as camps**

 

  1. Any cancellations made for competitions will not be given a refund once start list has been released

 

  1. Videos and photos will be taken during club events and the club reserves the right to use these on the club’s socials only. Any member/non-member who does not wish to be included needs to notify the club in writing

 

  1. All members/non-members need to adhere to venue hire rules

 

  1. Any complaints must be submitted in writing to the club and the club shall respond within 21 days of receiving the compliant

 

  1. Any members/non-members found to treat others in a disrespectful manner, the club reserves the right to remove such individual(s) from all club events immediately
